Hey there, I’m Charlie Mosez! I am 28 years old and excited to start writing about my Adventures in Adventurism – aka the pursuit of my happiness! I am originally from the Great State of Texas, but currently reside in Southern California. I’ve been in California since the end of 2003. I have to admit that you cannot beat the awesome weather and the infinite amount of things to do around the area!
I am a member of the U.S. Military and from the end of 2009 to October 2011 I was assigned to “the land of the rising sun.” Living in Japan was an interesting experience to say the least; and although I enjoyed Japan very much, I couldn’t wait to get back home. I’ve also been deployed to Iraq twice – 2004 and 2006. See as much as I love what I do for a living, being away from friends and family never gets easier.
It is because of this that I feel I must do something about my future. As I write this entry, I have less than two years remaining on my current enlistment contract and I am considering not continuing my military service after it’s expiration.
Of course, not continuing my military service rides on one very important factor – financial stability! If there was ever anything sure about military service is that every two weeks, without fail, a paycheck gets direct deposited into your bank account. Nice!
This is what makes leaving military service so scary for some people.
Well, it starts NOW! With all that said, I have just under two years to try and recreate my current income. It will be easier said than done, but this blog will be my journal on just how I am going to make it happen. With all of you as my witnesses, I will achieve what I’m setting out to do. I don’t ever want to be forced to say good by to my love ones again.
Finally, I am definitely kind of random so I will write about whatever comes to mind. Hopefully, a trend will start to form and you’ll know what to expect from my random ass!
